Why early entrepreneurship?
In some countries, recent studies show the quarter to half of a pupils who have graduated from primary school cannot read a single sentence fluently learning through the acquisition of knowledge and skills is, therefore, the ultimate solution for growth, development and poverty reduction.
The trend of introducing entrepreneurship to Nigeria education system started not only with the national universities commission(NUC) 's recent introduction in 2010 entrepreneurship studies as a compulsory subject to all university undergraduates in Nigeria, but with an earlier step in 2007 by the national board for technical education(NBTE) of the same policy confirms the efforts to address this problem.
In an attempt to catch them early, the Nigerian education research and development council (NERDC) also in 2011 not only included entrepreneurship studies in its newly developed curriculum for secondary school towards inculcating requisite skills to empower young secondary school leavers, but also directed its implementation from that year.
